At the Vivai Fratelli Dainese nursery in Saonara close to Venice and Padua, we produce and sell a vast range of fruit plants, including high-quality ones. Read all about the varieties of plants for sale for both retail and wholesale at our nursery in Saonara (PD) as follows.

Our fruit plants

Large plant with rounded fruits, of a yellow color that when ripe get a nice orange tone. Pulp has a high nutritional value.

Ripens in late Autumn.

Medium sized variety. In October produces round-flattened fruits of a yellow-orange color during harvest, it turns bronze when ripe. Good quality pulp with a very sweet flavor. As it produces many male flowers it is also used as pollinator.

This variety of kaki it’s very appreciated for its sweet and non astringent fruit even when ready to be harvested. The tree has a medium size and it resists well to rigid temperatures.

Ripens end of October.

Medium-small sized, no astringency, but very productive, plant is used also as pollinator.

Plant suited for any kind of soil if not too humid. Its rounded fruits have a brown color and are harvested when still green. At this time pulp is white-pinkish and rather hard, rich in tannin. They become edible when ripe: the tannic substances transform into sugar and the pulp acquires a very pleasant flavor. Harvest is in Autumn.

Variety obtained from the Nenadowitch in 1898 in Vrania (Serbia). It’s the most beautiful pear shaped and very productive variety available in the market. The tree is large and very productive. Fruits are huge ( even 600 grams heavy), have an excellent flavor and aroma, so much so that can be consumed fresh as well as can be used for preserving, (don’t set your teeth on edge).

Ripens end of October.

Very rustic plant, adapts well in all climates and soils. Quince’s pulp is always acidic and astringent, but when cooked becomes sweet, on its own or mixed with other fruits it’s good to be used for excellent preserves and gelatins.

Very large, flowers have an intense pink color (suited for decorations). Fruit has a hard shell.

This variety of fig is widely available in our country, but it’s one of the most in demand ones. Fruits have a dark color (almost purple), they have a peculiar elongated shape; flavor is inimitable and vaguely exotic.

The fig adapts well in any kind of soil, rustic plant it doesn’t need a lot of attention. Large fruit.

This is the most common and probably the best variety of fig with a widespread presence in our country. Fruits have a medium-large size and have a nice bright green color with a red and very attractive pulp. Large and towering plant, very suited for gardens.

Ovoidal or pear shaped fruits of a yellow-red color, if ripened exposed to sun.

Harvest is in mid-October.

Fruit similar to a small apple, flat at the base, with smooth yellow and white colored skin. It’s also used for jam preparation.

This variety holds together, in a perfect mix, a pleasantly bitter flavor and a delicate wood aroma. Recommended variety for the constant productivity.

The chestnut plant likes cool and shady soil, over 300 mt. in altitude, but it doesn’t develop well in lowland.

Fruits ripen during the month of November.

The Jujube is a small tree native of Southern China. Fruit (drupa) looks and tastes a bit like a date; is diuretic, has anti-inflamatory properties, should be consumed fresh especially when withered, or can be used for jams and preserves. The decoction can be used to alleviate cough and it’s lightly laxative.

Very large fruit of a red-vermilion color, with garnet red grains inside, juicy, sugary, acidic and refreshing. Very large and fertile variety, suited to design decorative shrubbery.

Dig holes 50/60 cm deep into soil. Mix soil with a lot of compost (manure). Set plant 25 cm deep, cover with soil and keep it free of weeds. The first year you’ll be able to harvest asparagus. The following year production will be completed. The green color of the asparagus makes it a great ornament for the home.

Kiwi is native of Chine, and adapts very well to our climates. From a nutritional stand point is the fruit that has the biggest amount of mineral salts and vitamin C. It’s basically free from pesticides and preservatives’ toxic residue. since has no parasites and maintains without a lot of attention. The “Hayward” is the most popular for the large size of its fruits.
